6/16/18 - Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs Student of the Year Night
Several Frankfort-Schuyler Elementary School students were recognized as “Students of the Year” during the June 16 Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs game at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Little Falls.
Each student and their family received free admission to the game, which saw the DiamondDawgs defeat the Newark Pilots in a 12-5 victory.
The names of students who were being recognized were announced between innings of the game and each student was invited down onto the field to receive a certificate honoring their achievement. All of the students were nominated for this recognition by their classroom teachers.
The Diamond Dawgs are a collegiate summer league baseball team, which draw more than 30,000 fans each summer. Many of their players, who come from major colleges around the country, will go on to play professional baseball.
